Hiromine Nakamura

 

Profile

A fourth generation Japanese doll maker, Hiromine Nakamura (b.1986) was born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan. Trained in traditional fine arts, specializing in woodcarving and ceramics, Hiromine challenges old conventions, with a fresh approach to sculpture, painting and calligraphy.

Selected for the 50th West Japan Arts and Crafts Exhibition, and received the Mayor of Fukuoka Award

2014   

Selected for the 49th West Japan Arts and Crafts Exhibition for the first time,

and received the Japan Kogei Association Award

2013   

 Selected for the 60th Japan Traditional Kogei Exhibition for the first time, and received the Best New Artist Award
